Easter Presents

Easter Sunday this year falls on 24th April, so it’s probably time you thought about stocking up on chocolate eggs etc.  While we’d agree that generally there’s no point ordering your basic Yorkie eggs from the internet (they were always the best ones) when you can pick them up at the supermarket, the internet does have some extra special chocolate eggs available and a whole lot more to make your family's Easter extra special.  All our favourite Easter gift ideas are listed here. If your still want more ideas, have a look what we recommended for Easter gifts in 2010.

Chocolate Gifts:
Egg sandwiches Egg Butty
Easter Egg Sandwiches
There's 4 flavours to choose from of these unconventional Easter treats.  Hotel Chocolat have quite brilliantly, in our opinion fused 2 of our favourite things, sandwiches and Easter eggs. There's no bread in sight though, just more of your favourites like caramel, praline, strawberries and dark chocolate.

Lindt Bunny Easter Bunny
Lindt Gold Easter Plush Bunny
This furry fellow is not as tasty as your ordinary Lindt Bunny, but is just as lovable.  Makes a fantastic gift for a child or your girlfriend for Easter.  We recommend teaming him with an actual Lindt chocolate bunny.

chocolate chimp Monkey Business
Milk Chocolate Charlie Chimp (200g)
A cracking basket of egg themed chocolatiness. There's eggs & soldiers, bunnies & chicks and an Easter slab. More than enough to see the most diligent chocolate muncher past Easter Monday.

egg plant Eggplant
Egglings
I think we all remember growing cress in an egg shell at school, what the hell was that all about?  Well this gift takes it to an altogether classier level, allowing you to choose from an array of plants to grow in your egg shaped pot. A sweet gift for those without a sweet tooth.

So what’s Addictaball got to with Easter we hear you asking?  Absolutely nothing, but it’s ridiculously fun and more addictive than some of Columbia’s finest. You twist and turn to guide a small ball through a maze of tunnels, shoots and obstacles.  All the family will be hooked!

Jesus The Special One (No not Mourinho)
Jesus Of Nazareth: The Special Edition (2 Discs)
Easter isn't just about stuffing one's face full of novelty chocolate and devising ways to bring a cream egg to a cruel end.  There's also the bit where Christians think about how Jesus went to meet his maker (and farther) on the cross.  Whether you're Christian or not, this is a great telling of Jesus' story featuring Robert Powell (him who was in the detectives with Jasper Carrot).  A true snip at £8.99, it's entertaining & informative without the ridiculous bloodshed of the 'Passion of the Christ'.

Easter Kids Books
John Lewis have a good selection of Easter themed books for toddlers and small children with stories  they'll enjoy the full year round. Definitely a healthier alternative to the sack load of chocolate option.
